Abstract:

The book investigates factors influencing tertiary applicants’ selection of a preferred university including the information sources the applicants are using. It is based on a survey of tertiary applicants at the time of application in 1998, a follow-up survey at that time and a series of interviews with twelve applicants. The findings provide valuable information for groups interested in the application and selection processes used by students for entry to undergraduate education.
