Statistical first release

The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) compile and produce statistical publications covering a broad range of topics in education and training in the United Kingdom. Each monthly issue of Statistical First Release (SFR) lists the schedule of statistical publications for the next six months and provides a provisional program for the following six months. The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) compile and produce statistical publications covering a broad range of topics in education and training in the United Kingdom. Each monthly issue of Statistical First Release (SFR) lists the schedule of statistical publications for the next six months and provides a provisional program for the following six months. SFRs contain key information on a variety of issues including youth training and employment, employment policy outcomes, work-based training, qualifications, adult education, and education and training participation. Many of these statistics form part of National Statistics, which is a quality marker applied to some UK official statistics that are produced in accordance with the ‘Framework for National Statistics’ and comply with the principles embodied in the ‘National Statistics Code of Practice’.
