Abstract:

This study is essentially a history of TAFE policy and administrative arrangements at both State and Commonwealth levels. It focuses on the developments that have occurred within TAFE over the past two decades and identifies the political, economic and social influences that have led to change. Perhaps one of the greatest changes that has occurred over the past two decades has been the 'politicisation' of TAFE.
