This report presents nine case studies featuring business incubators operating under contrasting settings and organisation schemes. Case study descriptions reveal current efforts of two-year colleges to support the economic development of the community by working in partnership with business incubators, offering entrepreneurship courses and other related services to local entrepreneurs.
This is the second in a series of three reports. The research base is derived from a national survey of entrepreneurs and managers in business incubators operating under different sponsorship arrangements, including support from two-year colleges (see report 1,
TD/INT 57.250). A summary of opportunities to expand the contribution of community colleges to foster community development in the context of business incubation and entrepreneurship education and training programmes is set out in report 3 (
TD/INT 57.248).
