The main section of the article then describes the situation with education and training and development, including a description of public policy and strategy and corporate training and development. The article concludes that there are many opportunities for training and development work and research in the region as it is currently in a growth stage and makes some suggestions about future roles for government in supporting training and development including through incentives to business and an integrated human resource development policy.
