The Industry Training Authority (ITA) in British Columbia set a goal to double the number of Aboriginal apprentices between 2007 and 2010 from five per cent of all registered apprentices to 10 per cent. This article shares the collaborative approach the ITA took to surpass this target, providing insight on the research, partnerships and outreach activities that helped lead this important initiative to success.
