In light of the current context of economic globalisation and expanded international cooperation in technology and education, this monograph provides an overview of the characteristics of the national vocational training systems of Latin America to inform those involved with vocational training activities and reform in European countries. The four sections of the document present: the economic and social structure of Latin America; an overview of vocational training institutions; current vocational issues; and new vocational training policies and strategies.
