Developed for workers in health care services where there has been increasing concerns about aggression in the workplace. Material in the modules take into account rural workers (through rural scenarios) who are often working in isolation and the use of plain English to cater for those with lower literacy and numeracy levels. The supplementary exercises are in plain English and outline the course overview listed below and taken from page 5 of the Trainers/mentors handbook of supplementary materials (res. no.4132) '-Demonstrate knowledge of the legal context -Promote workplace safety -Identify strategies to prevent aggression -Develop a considered response to a potentially aggressive situation -Apply strategies in response to aggressive situations -Communicate effectively in an aggressive situation -Perform activities to conclude aggressive situations'
