This brief guide aims to help trainers and assessors who will be working with the Drilling Industry Training Package to: - recognise the importance of language, literacy and numeracy (LL&N) skills in training and assessing - importantly, identify the LL&N requirements in a unit of competence - recognise signs that people may have LL&N problems and have strategies to help them - incorporate LL&N into on-the-job training - incorporate LL&N requirements in assessment.
