These materials were written to support students working on the Farm Machinery Maintenance Course who may have difficulty studying and comprehending the written course materials that are supplied. Revised a number of times and with different delivery modes in mind, the materials list basic yet essential pieces of information on: workshop tools and equipment (for example, choosing a vice, different types of hammers, chisels and a range of tools); maintenance (for example, of engines and various parts), and; health and safety (tractor safety and how to avoid a range of accidents). There is also an extensive glossary of mechanical terms.
