This project aimed to provide an overview of the issues relating to the participation of males aged 35 and over in vocational education and training (VET), with the intention of developing recommendations for improving the delivery of VET to this group. Employment data, student figures and the Western Australian Department of Training and Employment's training records system, were used to create a macro-profile of the change in participation rates of mature age males in the labour force.
