This publication documents the latest training developments in Western Australia. This issue reports on Operation Livewire, a Rotary, Shell Australia and Western Australian Department of Training program, in which young people with business ideas are assigned to mentors who help them prepare business plans and compete for cash prizes, the introduction of multi-skilling training at Gwalia's Greenbushes minesite and a description of the John Higgins Training Centre, a joint venture between the Western Australian Trotting Association and the Western Australian Department of Training, which provides formal training in the trotting industry through the South East Metropolitan College of TAFE.
