This report outlines the findings of a research project commissioned by the OTFE. The impetus for this research was a recognition of the major impact that information technology is having and will continue to have on teaching and management systems in Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in Victoria. The main focus of the research was to investigate the current and potential roles for women in information technology in VET, to identify barriers which may inhibit the level of involvement by women and to identify current models and practices which have enabled women to develop their skills.
