Report on the implementation of RPL principles and models in the Victorian State Training System

It has been five years since the adoption of the State Training Board (STB) policy on the recognition of prior learning (RPL). Since then a number of major reforms have taken place, at both national and state levels, which have influenced the way vocational education and training is conducted. With the introduction of training packages and the attainment of industry competency standards, there will be a need for an increased and more widespread assessment culture and capacity within the STS.
