Late in 1994 the Quality and Change Management Division, OTFE, successfully conducted six seminars on a theme of joint ventures in education and training. The aim of these seminars was to foster discussion by providing a forum to share ideas and experiences relating to joint ventures in education and training. A number of themes were explored in the seminars: (1) the rationale for entering joint ventures; (2) benefits of joint ventures for clients of the various education sectors; (3) issues which need to be addressed in order to establish effective joint ventures; (4) effective joint ventures and best practice; and (5) benefits for institutions of participating in these venture activities.
