Practice in reading values: reflections on adult literacy teaching

Practice in reading values is a collection of selected writings from fifteen participants in the 1993-1994 funded professional development course for adult literacy teachers, Adult Literacy Teaching: a Professional Development Course. In order to satisfactorily complete that course and qualify for the formal award, participants had to both complete a journal and develop an Adult Literacy student program relevant to their own teaching context. This report is a mixture of journal extracts and theoretically justified student programs.
