Although Not One Right Answer has been written to address the mathematical stream of the Victorian Certificate of General Education for Adults, it has broader relevance to numeracy and basic maths. It is intended to support people developing numeracy or basic maths courses in the adult literacy and basic education sector. There is a range of curriculum examples illustrated which attempt to cover a range of contexts and levels. The courses described are: (1) a special needs program at level 1; (2) an integrated numeracy/literacy program at level 1/2; (3) an industry numeracy program at level 1/2; (4) numeracy by telematics at level 2; (5) a return to study mathematics course for women at level 2/4; and (6) a bridging maths course at level 4.
