TAFE Services and the introduction of the instructional systems model for vocational education

The aim of this study was to: follow the history of the curriculum strategy adopted by TAFE Services since June 1977; document the significant events that have surrounded the adoption of the systems model; investigate the strategies used to implement the model and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy; identify, where relevant, the political framework and policy decisions that have affected TAFE Service’s operation; determine the role of the curriculum strategy in deciding the direction TAFE Services would go and its future directions; investigate the relationship between TAFE Services and TAFE colleges and the effect this has had on the implementation of the systems model. The document also includes lists of: completed projects; a chronological bibliography of reports; publications and papers; minutes and miscellaneous papers; people who provided information; residential seminars conducted by TAFE Services; the role of the Advisory Committee, etc.
