This is one of a series of three English as a second language (ESL) literacy readers designed to fill the gap for very easy, yet appropriate reading material for women beginner readers of English. This reader has an interesting theme which will generate students' own writing around the issues raised in the story as well as provide for functional literacy identification of items connected with the use of the postal system. The story also develops the student's word attack skills as the illustrations do not carry all the meaning themselves.
