Early childhood teacher education in China

In this chapter, the author reviews early childhood teacher education in the People's Republic of China over the past and identifies issues associated with teacher education in the future. Strategies to address problems of early childhood teacher education are put forward and it is suggested that new policies and teacher education programs aim at improvements in the real context of teaching practice.
