Skills Tasmania conducted a census survey of all Tasmanian registered training organisations (RTOs) in October 2008. The aim of the census was to provide a thorough understanding of the training provider industry and to gain information that would assist Skills Tasmania when planning initiatives that affect RTOs. From the 118 RTOs that were approached, 114 responded: 113 non-TAFE RTOs (including 25 public entities such as schools and community service organisations) plus TAFE Tasmania.
