This chapter explores the measurement of career maturity within the cultures in which it is applied. The first part of the chapter looks at the historical developemnt of career maturity and its assessment. The second part describes the change in context and focuses on the transfer of career maturity from its westernised, middle-class, modernist beginnings into multicultural, post-modern contexts.
