This paper draws upon the findings of a recent study of higher education opportunities for refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers in the East of England. The author focuses on refugees and asylum seekers already in possession of higher level skills and qualifications and the potential role adult and continuing education can play in putting them on pathways to professional employment.
