Throughout 2007-08 the Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) continued to support and promote high quality vocational education and training (VET) in [New South Wales] NSW. The year in review has been one of considerable change following the introduction of the new standards of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and the National Code 2007 on 1 July 2007. In July 2007 the Board issued the following standards as guidelines under the Vocational Education and Training Act 2005: AQTF 2007 - essential standards for registration; AQTF 2007 - standards for registering bodies; and new standards for the implementation of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act (National Code 2007).
