Placing Canadian quality assurance initiatives in an international context

Canadian quality assurance initiatives vary between provinces and territories. There are attempts to harmonize aspects of quality assurance, such as credit transfer arrangements. Rather more generally, the quality assurance process in most areas tends to conform to the generic international model of self-evaluation, peer review and report. As in many international settings, the statistical data and performance indicators have been entered into the equation with varying degree[s] of utility and success.
