Appreciative inquiry (AI) is a relatively new assets-based approach to evaluation derived from the field of organisational development. In this chapter, the author suggests that the evaluation of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) needs to be explored and proposes the use of AI to evaluate TVET programs. However, the author concludes that the universal application of AI in evaluations can be problematic, and other evaluative tools may also need to be used.
