Due to the increased pressure to meet the requirements of the Carl D. Perkins CTE Improvement Act of 2006, career and technical educators are forced to rethink how they are educating their students in preparing them for the world-of-work. Career and technical education (CTE) students do not all come from the same mold in regards to their learning style and personality. Moreover, research has provided invaluable insight regarding the relationship between learning style and personality. Thus, this literature review focuses on information pertaining to the topics of learning style and personality, which have the ability to assist CTE professionals in meeting the learning needs of their students while preparing them for the world-of-work. The conclusion identifies several themes that can be observed by examining this literature and recommends a process of assessing personality and learning style within CTE.
