Training and development: country experiences

Employer training has increased in importance across the globe, changing from simple induction programmes to a process of continuous learning, training and improvement. However, despite the growing importance of workplace training, such practices vary considerably from country to country and culture to culture. This publication examines the differing trends in a variety of countries, providing an insight into cross-country experiences, and summarises the factors which have the greatest impact upon human resource development in an organisational context.
