[This publication] describes some of the key documents which form part of the internal self-evaluation and self-assessment process including Session Plans, Schemes of Work, Individual Learning Plans and Course Reviews and Evaluations. Also describes good practice in the development and use of forms for capturing evidence, by reference to good practice exemplars from several post-16 providers. The exemplars will also be of use to schools as they develop self-evaluation instruments. The exemplars include various tools for recording observations of teaching and learning which is discussed more fully in Book 3 of this series.
