Western Australian strategic plan for Aboriginal education and training 2001-2004

All Australians have the right to an education that respects and values each person and enables them to make choices from the same range of opportunities and futures as any other Australian. The Western Australian Government is committed to this ideal and is working in partnership with Aboriginal people through the Western Australian Aboriginal Education and Training Council (AETC WA) to design and implement programs that will achieve reconciliation and where people take responsibility within their families and communities for developing practical solutions to problems. This Strategic plan sets out how this commitment will be addressed through education and training during the period 2001 to 2004. It is hoped that the implementation of the Plan will be carried out in the same cooperative spirit.
