The current labor market for the disabled in South Korea is undergoing challenges, as is the career and technical education system for this population of individuals. This literature review analyzed the current career-technical education system and labor market status for the disabled, and highlighted three main concerns: decreasing financial support from the government, the low quality of career-technical education opportunities for people with disabilities, and a disconnection with industries and institutions for the disabled. Recommendations for addressing these issues include increasing financial support from the government and industries, creating partnerships with industries and communities, and continuing concern and investment in career-technical education for the disabled in South Korean society.
