Work based learning core skills in Employment Training: a case study

This publication relates to field activities set up in West Glamorgan Skillcentre Employment Training (ET) programmes for unemployed adult workers. The case study illustrates one of the techniques for core analysis in which 'The Core skills: quick reference list' is scanned. It presents the outcomes of core analysis undertaken during their induction by 15 ET trainees with varied occupational experience. These outcomes indicate that the process of core analysis can be introduced fairly simply to learners.
