Strategies for structuring learning opportunities in the workplace and implementing work based learning

Part 1 of this document provides an introduction to the good practice model and to its associated strategies, tools and techniques which employers, trainers, line managers and off-job providers can use to help improve the quality of current work based learning practice. Part 2 details, with examples, a particular set of strategies designed to help with the structuring of learning opportunities in the workplace. It offers suggestions about how the kinds of learning which can take place through experience in the workplace can be most effectively identified and managed to promote a technically competent, versatile, adaptable workforce.
