The Australian youth survey (AYS) is the third cohort of young Australians to be surveyed in the Australian longitudinal survey (ALS) program, which surveys unemployed youth and a sample of young people. A major aim of AYS is to monitor rapid changes occurring in school retention and in post school education and training. This publication presents the frequency counts from the survey.
