Interdependence of evaluation and analysis in training quality systems

This article focuses on the role of evaluation practices and need analysis in general and shares experience from nuclear power plants (NPPs) and other industries to suggest implementable solutions. The author highlights that the interdependence of training needs analysis and evaluation is often ignored in developing training programs. Some observations and related concepts and good practices to underpin effective needs analysis and evaluation are outlined, drawing on national and international nuclear industry practices.
