An important feature of the Australian Vocational Training System (AVTS) is the development of effective partnerships among schools, workplaces, and training providers. Under the system, secondary students gain industry-based qualifications by carrying out part of their years 11 and 12 studies in the workplace. In this video, teachers, students, and employers with first-hand experience of the AVTS outline the opportunities for workplaces and youth that eventuate from vocational education under the AVTS.
