In developing this outline regional strategic plan, the Loddon-Mallee Regional TAFE Board has reviewed: government objectives for postcompulsory education and training; government policies relating to the region; the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the region; the role of technical and further education; and the issues affecting the development, delivery and planning of technical and further education in the region. Several issues are identified and, in order to address these issues, the Board has developed and stated: regional goals; planning and resource policies; strategies to be pursued; actions taken to day; further action to be taken and the timeframe for achievement; and a model for the provision of technical and further education in the region.
