Toward excellence in secondary vocational education: using cognitive psychology in curriculum planning

This report provides a comprehensive review of recent advances in cognitive psychology that have relevance for vocational education. It describes cognitive knowledge for curriculum designers to help them develop problem-solving skills in the learner. The chapters are as follows: Introduction; Advances in cognitive psychology: a basis for curriculum and instruction decisions; Implications for curriculum and instruction in vocational education; Problem-solving and learning skills in vocational education.
