Work based learning: a discussion paper

This paper surveys the Australian context and argues for the development of the work based learning approach. It then explains work based learning in detail and examines the relationship between the latter and a quality management approach to training. Finally, it raises issues relating work based learning and two TAFE roles - as an employer and as major public provider of vocational education.
