The Department of Employment, Education and Training provided funding for 10 Information Technology Centres (ITeCs) in Australia. The ITeCs in Melbourne and Perth were commissioned to prepare training modules for use by all 10 ITeCs. The TAFE National Centre for Research and Development conducted a workshop for Compuskill ITeC (Melbourne) and Perth ITeC, as part of a project to provide curriculum development consultation to the two ITeCs, which are developing national training modules. The workshop was held on July 6-7, 1988 in Adelaide. The aims of the workshop were to help development of national ITeC training modules by: developing and confirming the aims of the modules; reviewing principles of instructional design; developing formats for trainee and instructor materials; and planning module development and production timelines. This report presents the main outcomes of the workshop and some of the material presented at the workshop.
