Toward a national education and training strategy for rural Australians: report of the National Board of Employment, Education and Training

This paper is the major outcome of a study begun in 1989 by NBEET. It found the provision of post-compulsory education and training for rural Australians to be uneven and inadequate, and examines the barriers to participation: access, quality and appropriateness. The report proposes development of a national education and training strategy for rural Australians and suggests the key elements.
