This paper provides a summary of the findings of the Finn review (report indexed at TD/TNC 85.641), which was undertaken by a committee of trade unionists, business people, and state and federal officials to examine whether the post-compulsory education and training arrangements at the time met the needs of young people, industry and Australian society.
