Skills for knowledge management: building a knowledge economy: a report by TFPL Ltd

This report outlines the results of a large international research project examining the roles and skills required to successfully implement knowledge management. With the aim of identifying the skills essential for creating and sustaining a knowledge culture, TFPL identified organisations from around the world who were implementing knowledge management initiatives and undertook case studies on those with the most advanced programs. Aspects of the report consider: what knowledge management is; the skills and competencies needed in a knowledge economy; the importance of information literacy; and how knowledge management skills can be developed through education and training.
