The Personal Effectiveness in Diversity (PED) program is a 'diversity learning' program geared to people in leadership positions in organisations, developed by Caroline Pinto, the Managing Director of Intercultural & Community Development Resources Australia (ICDR Australia). The stated objective of the program is to introduce participants to diversity concepts and assist them in creating relevance of these concepts in their work and lives. This report describes and evaluates the PED, which was trialled with 12 participants. It assesses the contribution of the program to the productive diversity of Australian corporations. It concludes with a bibliography covering education and training on diversity management, intercultural skills and communication, and the impact of globalisation.
