The intersection of health and culture - a proposed multicultural health program at UNSW: productivity diversity for the health of the people of Australia

This paper analyses the business case for productive diversity as applied in its many aspects to public health and the training of medical practitioners in servicing culturally diverse populations both in Australia and overseas. It analyses the implications for all aspects of a medical faculty's graduate and postgraduate training programs. It includes an extensive bibliography on cultural diversity and the health system and an overview on the international experience in curriculum development in relation to diversity in health care.
