'Insight' is a quarterly newsletter published by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) to provide news and information on vocational education and training (VET) research and statistics. The articles in this issue include: Training offers Indigenous Australians wide benefits; Stronger regional focus for VET statistics; Sustaining TAFE's teaching skill base; TAFE and enterprises: new ways of working; The value of lower level qualifications; Recording learners' achievements more effectively; NCVER focuses on key national VET issues; Review of the statistical standard for VET data collection. These brief articles provide information about recent research projects and new and forthcoming publications. Where documents are available online, web addresses (URLs) are provided and all reports are indexed in the VOCED database once they are published. The international article in this issue is 'Work traditions reshape to a new age' which investigates literature on the shift from traditional to transitional labour markets in modern European economies which are characterised by ageing workforces, greater participation of women and changing patterns of work.
