'Insight' is a quarterly newsletter published by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) to provide news and information on vocational education and training (VET) research and statistics. The articles in this issue include: VET-university movements are often a two-way 'street'; Earning through learning: not just for the young; Learning about learning styles; New Apprenticeships and Indigenous people; VET options encouraging for young people; Research examines early school leavers in VET; Seven new adult literacy research reports out soon; Consortia: a bigger bang for the research buck; Factors affecting apprentice and trainee completion rates; Shorter-duration apprenticeships examined. These brief articles provide information about recent research projects and new and forthcoming publications. Where documents are available online, web addresses (URLs) are provided and all reports are indexed in the VOCED database once they are published. The international article in this issue is 'Australian VET: an important export industry' which investigates the offshore delivery of VET programs by TAFE institutes.
