Employability: the issues behind a shared responsibility

This paper is taken from the eighth group session on Wednesday 24 July 2002 at the International Vocational Education and Training Organisation (IVETA) Conference. This paper investigates the concept of employability. It explores employability from political, economic, personal and educational perspectives. A collaborative approach to employability shares responsibility for education and training, while the individual can control his or her independent lifelong learning and professional development.
