This volume contains reports presented at a conference dedicated to the problems of teaching and learning in vocational education and training, which was held in Gottingen, Germany in 2000. The reports examine political perspectives of vocational and occupational education and training. German and English were the official languages of the conference. Papers have been reproduced in the chosen language of the presenter with an abstract in the other language.
