Implementing European Union education and training policy: a comparative study of issues in four Member States

This volume contains papers emerging from a collaborative project to understand the intentions and the effects of European Union (EU) education and training policy. The project was undertaken by a network known as PRESTiGE – Problems of Educational Standardisation and Transition in a Global Environment. The network involves teams at six European universities. This volume represents the work of the Oxford section of PRESTiGE that has studied the interpretation, transmission and implementation of EU education and training policy in four Member States – France, Germany, Sweden, and the UK.
